All Free to Play Mobile Games announced during UbiForward

by Yong Chi Winn 22/07/2020
written by Yong Chi Winn

Three free to play mobile games highlighted

Ubisoft Forward was packed with huge AAA industry game announcements like Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion and more. However, that didn’t stop it from giving mobile gamers some love. Here are all the free to play mobile games announced.

brawlhalla mobile release date

Brawlhalla Coming to iOS and Android with Crossplay Support

The insanely popular brawler, Brawlhalla, is coming to Android and iOS August 6, 2020. The mobile version features crossplay allowing players to connect with PS4, XB1, PC and Nintendo Switch players. Players can also customize and map controls to their liking.

Brawlhalla is a free-to-play 2D-fighting game with a myriad cast of playable characters. Unlock Over 50 “Legends” via earnable in-game currency . None of the characters are locked behind a paywall. Players that want to support the developers can instead opt to purchase skins or battlepasses, or make a one-time payment to unlock all current and upcoming characters.

Featuring popular guest characters such as Jake and Finn from Adventure Time and Ben from Ben 10, the game continues to receive support from it’s 40 million registered users and monthly updates and patches from developers.

Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad

This fresh IP is coming to Android and iOS on August 27 this year. The cinematic trailer highlights team based gameplay with a vast array of characters with varying roles. The top-down tactical shooter will have players playing a hyper-exaggerated version of chess. Compose a formidable team of uniquely skilled units to survive waves of enemies and complete objectives. Power through the campaign and partake in limited time events to upgrade your agents and unlock new ones.

Elite Squad pays tribute to Ubisoft by featuring characters from beloved franchises like Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell and agents from Rainbow Six: Siege. The campaign will also supposedly pay homage to Tom Clancy himself. It will also include a PVP multiplayer mode.

Might and Magic: Era of Chaos

While this game isn’t entirely new, Ubisoft took the time to thank its dedicated player base for over 30 million hours of playtime. In commemoration of its seven months since release, Ubisoft is giving free rewards for players to download the game.

Might and Magic: Era of Chaos is an army battle simulator with RPG elements. Recruit a variety of warriors and creatures to fight for your army. Harvest and hoard treasures and artifacts to upgrade your troops for maximum stats to assert dominance over the world of Enroth.

Explore the gorgeously colored and artistic 2D environments through the game’s campaign. Once you’ve fortified your army, face-off against other players in epic real-timed PVP sieges. According to Sensor Tower, it has an estimated 80,000 worldwide downloads as of June 2020.

And that’s all for the free to play mobile games mentioned during Ubisoft Forward! They look like great distractions for when you need a break from titles like Mobile Legends, Free Fire and PUBG Mobile.

Watch Dogs Legion Gameplay, Plot, Release Date – UbiForward

by Yong Chi Winn 21/07/2020
written by Yong Chi Winn
Watch Dogs Legion plot
ames main themes of military oppression and “greatness can come from anywhere”

UbiForward headliner Watch Dogs Legion showcases gameplay, cinematics, plot, and more.

Watch Dogs Legion gameplay became the highlight of UbiForward, kicking off the presentation. Taking place in a near-future London, players assume control of “The Resistance”. An epic cinematic trailer showcases buzzing London life under an oppressive military, and how The Resistance fights against it. In Watch Dogs Legion, you’re not limited to controlling just one character, as anyone in it’s open world is subject to recruitment. Not everyone is inherently a hero; but they all have the potential to be one.

After the events of a terrorist attack, London entrusted the safety of its city to private military force Albion. The definition of “safety” is greatly warped however, as Albion CEO, Nigel Cass, resorts to brutality and other extreme measures to ensure crime is non-existent.

Nigel Cass isn’t the only antagonist in the game however. The Resistance will also encounter friction from Mary Kelly, head of London’s infamously notorious crime syndicate. The crimes committed by her syndicate range from drug pushing to human trafficking, and it’s up to the player to stop her.

Gameplay and Mechanics Showcase

UbiForward also took the time to showcase gameplay in a mission. The objective is to break into Albion Headquarters situated in the Tower of London. As aforementioned, any character recruited into The Resistance can be chosen for the mission. While all the characters can hack into machinery and public infrastructure ala typical Watch Dogs fashion, each character is equipped with a unique set of skills and tools and has a different optimal approach for the mission. Characters have a unique array of weapons that they can use. Some may use generic firearms, while others may use construction-grade nail guns. In the screenshot below, we see a character using bees to cripple an Albion enforcer.

Watch Dogs Legion Gameplay
“Guess you can say that move was ‘the bees knees!’” -DashieGames on YouTube.

Aside from the hacking aspect, there is also a highlight on movement. Parkour your way towards the objective by vaulting obstacles and climbing walls. Transit smoothly between areas by hijacking transport drones and escape enemy sight. Engage in close-quarters melee combat when conserving ammo or making a stealth takedown.

Release

Watch Dogs Legion releases on October 29 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. It will also be available for the next generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Xbox Series X will be supporting smart delivery. Owners of the game on Xbox One will get a free upgrade on their Series X console, which also supports cross-save. No news on free upgrades for PlayStation as of yet.

Mobile Legends 1.4.94 New Patch Notes – Project NEXT Miya, Alucard Revamps

by Yong Chi Winn 20/07/2020
written by Yong Chi Winn

Mobile Legends 1.4.94 New Patch Notes have been published and rolled out, and it’s a huge one. With multiple system, hero, and battlefield adjustments, the Mobile Legends 1.4.94 patch certainly welcomes huge quality of life improvements alongside hero balancing. Here’s the most notable changes patch 1.4.94 brings.

Upcoming Hero

Firstly, a new hero. On August 6, a new Legend will enter the roster. Khaleed is a “swift and dauntless fighter who battles with the help of the Desert Power”. His four skills are:

  • Skill 1: [Desert Tornado] – Khaleed shoots sand knives, dealing damage to nearby enemies. Upon hitting the enemy, he leaps one time in the movement direction and casts this skill again for a maximum of 3 times.
  • Skill 2. [Quicksand Guard] – Khaleed protects himself with the power of quicksand restoring HP and Desert Power and reducing damage taken. Meanwhile, quicksand appears under his feet, slowing nearby enemies.
  • Ultimate: [Raging Sandstorm] – Khaleed summons a sandstorm and rushes toward a designated place, gaining Control Immunity, dealing damage to enemies on the path and constantly pushing them. Upon arriving at the destination, Khaleed shakes the ground, dealing great damage to enemies within the range and stunning them.
  • Passive: [Sand Walk] – Khaleed accumulates Desert Power while moving. After Desert Power is fully charged, Khaleed will slide on sand, increasing Movement Speed and enhancing his next Basic Attack. With the enhanced Basic Attack, Khaleed dashes to the target and raises a wave of surging sand, dealing damage to the target and enemies behind and subsequently leaving a pool of sand. Khaleed gains Movement Speed on the sand pool while his enemies are slowed on it.

In another note, many heroes now have optimized and update primary/secondary roles, allowing for more accurate and effective team composition. Updated heroes now include:

  • Alice: New Secondary Role – Tank
  • Kadita: New Secondary Role – Assassin
  • Masha: Removed Secondary Role – Tank
  • Karina, Gusion, Guinevere, Silvanna: Removed Secondary Role – Mage; New Label – Magic Damage
  • Lolita: Primary Role and Secondary Role swapped – Support/Tank

Side lane minions now have buffed walking speed. Little Crabs now spawn at the 40 second mark. Additionally, Red Buff has a weakened damage increase due to less reliance on physical attack stat. Walkie Grass also has reduced HP Restoration rate for allied heroes from 2% to 1%.

Another key point is that Items are also getting some changes applied to them. Raptor Machete is nerfed to dealing Physical Damage instead of True Damage. Blade of the Heptaseas is pseudo-buffed with Attack increase, but has its Physical Attack Bonus reduced from 100% to 60%. This makes it a less viable late game item. Blade of Despair’s physical attack is lowered by ten points.

Profanity in public lobbies will have stricter supervision and harsher punishments. In other words, cultivating a healthier gaming environment. Is your hero affected? Meanwhile, check this video for a full, comprehensive list of changes.

Events

King of Fighters is making a return! Players will get a guaranteed Leona Epic Skin after ten draws. Additionally, a subsequent ten draws will guarantee the player more epic skins. However, the event will only last 30 days, so be sure to get grinding.

Project NEXT Updates

For everyone keeping an eye on Project NEXT, the official Mobile Legends YouTube channel recently dropped a new trailer. In short, the next heroes getting a revamp are Miya and Alucard.

That’s all for this hefty patch list! In conclusion, it’s a huge one, if not the biggest one to date. Take your time to study them to gain the competitive advantage. Also most importantly, have fun!

**English translation**

SEAGM now offers DANA E-Wallet, LinkAja and OVO E-Wallet as payment methods for SEAGM’s website.

Firstly, DANA E-wallet is an easy and convenient “one-tap” payment solution for users to carry out online transactions. In short, it does not require a credit card, and additionally is one of the most trusted payment methods for Apple services such as App Store and Apple Music.

This led to it being one of the most downloaded E-wallets in Indonesia in 2018, and has only since surged in popularity to the second quarter of 2020.

Moreover, as of Q2 2019, it has the third most active user base among cashless solutions in Indonesia, beating out previous placeholders LinkAja and CIMB’s Go Mobile.

Likewise can be said for OVO. As of June 15, TheJakartaPost has reported that E-wallet OVO is Indonesia’s most popular payment option. 17.8 percent of respondents preferred OVO over Bank Central Asia’s online banking service.

**We also provide payment methods for various other countries such as India and Bangladesh.

Naturally, SEAGM would love to help connect with its customers and make transactions convenient. For more information on how to use DANA and OVO E-Wallet, click here.

Call of Duty: Mobile (COD Mobile) – Season 8 – The Forge is here!

by Yong Chi Winn 09/07/2020
written by Yong Chi Winn

Word is that details (including a trailer) for Call of Duty: Mobile (COD Mobile) Season 8 details have surfaced! We could possibly be seeing a new character, new weapons, and new perks. Let’s take a look at what’s here shall we?

Call of Duty: Mobile (COD Mobile) Season 8 – “The Forge”

*(Updated) Firstly, Season 8 of Call of Duty: Mobile (Season 8) has arrived, after an interesting Season 7.

What’s been shown in the trailer were a QQ9 Melting Point Skin, and M4 Sickle, and RPD – Practical Joker. Of course, you’d be crazy to miss out on the much anticipated Highrise map! It’s all out now, so go go!

**(End of update)**

Now, to understand some of the content that is released on Call of Duty Mobile, they’re usually inspired by the main series under the same name. Take for example, our first entry for season 8 (based on a leak):

Makarov

Makarov? – Source: Sportskeeda

While some of you might already know who this is, there are some of us who would just be filled with anger at the very mention of his name. To keep this short, Makarov is actually an  antagonist from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (arguably the best Call of Duty ever released) and Modern Warfare 3. Anyways, there was a leak (now taken down) from Garena, with a mysterious figure (picture above) that is actually Agent Makarov.

New Perks

Apparently, there will be new perks coming in along with Season 8:

Piece Bullet – Receive 1 more Grenade Explosive when revived and target sticking explosive damage will be funny.

Fast Recovery – Starting healing immediately after defeating an enemy and holding the target will increase healing frequency.

New Weapons

Rumour has it that we may be seeing a gun familiar to fans of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Some of you may have noticed a Maverick AR gun being held in an advertisement for Season 8 recently. Although, this all should be taken with a pinch of salt, the possibility of a new weapon being introduced into the series sounds great doesn’t it?

Anyways, to conclude, it looks like Season 8 is stacked. Although some information provided in here are merely based on leaks and rumours, the one thing we know for sure, is that The Forge is coming!

BTW, SEAGM has Garena Shells available if you’re looking to bulk up for the coming season later on this month!

Fortnite Season 3 Leaks: New Dragon Shotgun skin and much more?

by Yong Chi Winn 08/07/2020
written by Yong Chi Winn

It’s been awhile since we’ve touched on anything Fortnite. Well, until NOW! We’ve got Fortnite Season 3 leaks, and it’s got quite a number of new additions! We hear there are new skins incoming, including a new Dragon Shotgun skin. Let’s start with that!

New Dragon Shotgun

Dragon Shotgun? – Source: essentiallysports.com

With recent changes made on shotguns, it doesn’t look like the team behind Fortnite are slowing down on them. This, based on a renowned and credible data miner / leaker, HYPEX’s tweet which uncovers something strange that could possibly be in the works, marked with a code string that read “Shotgun_Break_Dragon_Athena_VR_Ore_T03.”

Source: HYPEX Twitter

From the screenshot above, we can see that it’s a “Dragon Shotgun” that has a clip size which says 4. What’s weird is the ammo cost, which is also 4. If this holds true, then the Dragon Shotgun is one heck of a shotgun, and players should be really wary about it in close range encounters. Adding on to it all, HYPEX also mentioned that It probably won’t be out for another 2 – 3 months.

New Skins

HYPEX didn’t just stop at shotguns though, as he also revealed some major skins which are releasing on the 16th of July, the Lada Skin, and Black Manta.

Lada – Source: frezzi54 Twitter
Black Mamba – Source: Dexerto.com

Item Shop Leaks

Running on the Black Manta Leak, the item shop is also set to receive Black Manta Blades (Dualies). Could this be real? Well, HYPEX is pretty credible, but as always, only time will tell.

Source: HYPEX Twitter

The Dual Blades are expected to be released as harvesting tools in Fortnite, which allows players to fully replicate the “Aquaman Villains” outfit in the game.

If you’re excited, but still on the fence, all will be answered on the 16th of July 2020. For now, they’re just Season 3 leaks for Fortnite. But a Black Manta skin and a pair of matching Dualies blades sounds pretty kick ass! What are your thoughts?

Did you know that SEAGM has Fortnite V-Bucks Cards? And we’ve got them in a couple of denominations too! Go check it out right now!

PUBG Mobile (PUBGM) Season 14 – Livik Map? Spark the Flame? Ancient Secrets?

by Yong Chi Winn 06/07/2020
written by Yong Chi Winn

Has time been passing by really, really quickly in 2020, or is it just us? It feels as if we were just talking about the previous season, with Fire and Ice Rangers. Lo and behold, we have now arrived at PUBG Mobile (PUBGM) Season 14! We hear there’s a new Livik Map, Ancient Secrets, and… Spark the Flame? Let’s take a look.

Source: Electro Gaming Youtube Channel

So you’ve seen the trailer above, and now you’re wondering what it was all about right? We take a look at what PUBG Mobile (PUBGM) Season 14 has in store, one-by-one, and we share our thoughts. Starting with;

Spark the Flame

Firstly, there’s a new mode called Spark the Flame, which will involve the Erangel map. Players will be camping at three locations on Erangel, locations which will have tents and statues of Stun Grenades. By igniting the statues, players will be able to get supplies like Level 3 helmets, jackets, Kar98 etc.Grab some grenades, and rule the battlefield!

Ancient Secret

This is something that came out of nowhere. We first saw glimpses of this mode on Youtube, with players playing them on Beta. Here, check out Powerbang Gaming’s playthrough for yourself:

Source: Powerbang Gaming Youtube Channel

This mode takes place on Miramar. A huge titan-ish being can be seen in the waiting lobby, and as you enter the game, players will be able to see “Sky Temples” across the map. Although not exactly flying high in the sky, these temples will eventually float in the air, so brace yourself!

Mummy Boss?

Source: Fossbytes.com – Mummy boss!

While that’s happening, there are a series of puzzles that will need to be solved. Solving them will grant a Pharaoh’s curse, along with some treasure (not really a curse is it?). There is also a “Mummy Boss” which resides in the upper floor of the temple. She summons snakes, and you’re bound to lose a ton of ammo in this battle. But killing her snakes drops ammo, so you’re good to go. Either way, just be prepared for a battle!

New Map: Livik

Source: PUBG Mobile Youtube Channel

It’s been teased for awhile now, and it looks beautiful! Livik is filled with snow-covered mountains, green pastured, and flowers. It’s also home to some exclusive weapons like the P90 SMG and MK 12 Marksman Rifle.

Apart from all these attractions, the one important thing to note here is that Livik is designed to be a short game map. What this means is that the map is small, featuring a 2km by 2km radius, and a maximum of 52 players per game. So if you’re looking for a quick match on the go, this is the map to play!

One last thing, there’s also a Monster Truck on the map… Just saying…

Season 14 Royale Pass

Source: Sportskeeda.com

And lastly, of course, all new skins. What we know so far, is that the theme is “Spark the Flame”. The Commander skin (Image above) will be a part of the Season 14 Royale Pass, featuring a silver cape, as well as a full uniform. There’s also going to be a Pharaoh skin with a male and female variation, as well as a Silver Soldier skin.

In conjunction with the 2nd Anniversary of Royale Pass, the Roaring Dragon and Dragon Hunter – themed rewards from Season 5 will be returning as well!

Conclusion

To conclude, if you update the game right now, and you’ll receive 2,888 BP, 100x AG, and a Nightmare Helmet! And if you’ve skipped the whole article and came to the bottom still confused, here’s a video courtesy of SEAGM, wrapping it up for you:

And of course, what’s all this fun without some PUBG Mobile (PUBGM) UC right? SEAGM has them of course. Best of all, SEAGM has PUBG Mobile (PUBGM) UC with all sorts of denominations for you to choose from. Knock yourselves out!

Looking to win some free stuff? Check out this PUBG Mobile (PUBGM) contest we’ve got going on! It’s so easy to win!

There will be a Sand Dune – SCAR-L skin, and a Killer Whale Parachute which lasts for 3 days, and a Casual Stroll Set lasting 5 days. A new Metal Slug game will be available for download 2020!

by Yong Chi Winn 01/07/2020
written by Yong Chi Winn

It’s been 24 years since the original release of the arcade classic Metal Slug. Fast forward to 2020, and we now have a brand new Metal Slug game coming to your mobile devices, and it’s called… uh… well, Metal Slug: Code J for now. (It’s a placeholder name).

Source: Timi Studios Youtube Page

Metal Slug Series

This popular series of run and gun games set the benchmark for 2D graphical gaming back in 1996, when it was released for SNK’s Neo Geo console. It’s well known for its comedical approach to a “war” based theme (Alien ships, and Martians included). The series revolves around four quintessential characters:

Marco Rossi / Tarma Roving / Eri Kasamoto / Fiolina “Fio” Germi

There were more characters involved:

Nadia Cassel / Trevor Spacey  / Walter Ryan  / Tyra Elson

Some King of Fighters characters as well:

Ralf Jones  / Clark Still  / Leona Heidern

And did you know, there’s even MORE!

Roberto Nicola (Universal Metal Slug and Tank Conspiracy)

Nathalie Neo (Metal Slug Team Mission, Metal Slug Fighters and Universal Metal Slug: Fierce Battle)

Alisa Stewart (Metal Slug Fighters and Universal Metal Slug: Triumph)

Metal Slug: Code J

The latest installment to the series has not received it’s actual name yet, but it does have a placeholder; Metal Slug: Code J. The game is being developed by TiMi Studios, and published by Tencent and SNK Playmore. Graphically, it looks like the game is implementing a more 3D touch to it, as opposed to the already familiar 2D graphics. Moreover from the trailer above, it looks fantastic!

Release Date

Tencent has been on a roll recently, with a teased Pokemon Unite last week, and now this.  While there are no actual “confirmed” dates yet, what is known so far is that Metal Slug: Code J will be released this year. Will this be Metal Slug 2020? We’ll have to wait and find out. Meantime, while waiting for it to arrive, have you tried the other entries in the series? Or even their ports for the Nintendo Switch or for PlayStation 4?

Why did Yoodo Gank withdraw?

As per the announcement made by the Malaysian Esports Federation yesterday (28th June 2020);

The referees reasoning, and decision making process (to remake round 1 of the PUBG Mobile preliminary) displeased the team. With that, the team decided not to continue.

Razer SEA-Invitiational rules and regulations

In addition to Yoodo Gank withdrawing, the Razer SEA-Invitational 2020 also featured a ranking system which is determined by the aggregate score of both teams from the same country (in this case, Yoodo Gank and AROV Esports, both representing Malaysia). This indirectly meant that both teams would have to team up to secure the best score possible.

However, both teams decided not to do so, as both teams are also preparing independently as a 4-man team for the upcoming PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL) 2020.

Conclusion

The PlayStation 5 (PS5) will be backwards compatible. What this means is that gamers will be able to play PlayStation 4 (PS4) titles on the newer console. Do take note however, that only the Top 100 games played by PlayStation 4 (PS4) users will be backwards compatible by the PlayStation 5 (PS5) launch date, although the whole list might not be available.
