It’s just a few more days until the holiday season kicks in full gear and with every holiday season, it’s a time to be jolly with the time spent with friends and family. That said, oh what fun would the holiday season be without video games?

Here’s a list of games that you probably suck at but should still get during the Steam Winter Sale for a time of fun and get the party going!

FIFA 23

Like every party, especially in Malaysia, FIFA is a must. And I know what you’re thinking, “But, isn’t FIFA like, the same game in the past…. 10 years?” Why yes, it is football, after all, but we all know how much we Malaysians love Joga Bonito, the Beautiful Game. What’s more, is that FIFA 23 will be the last FIFA game by EA and the developers and everyone else who worked on the game pulled out all the stops to update FIFA 23 as much as possible.

HyperMotion2 and a brand new machine learning technology is added into the game which adds over 6000 brand new animations to make it look smoother and more realistic. This technology upgrades how the players look when they shoot, sprint and dribble on the pitch as well as a more fluid movement and interactions off the pitch.
Other than that, players can disable “Critical Commentary” so you wouldn’t hear the AI commentators trolling your skills on FIFA.
There’s also a women’s league feature called Women’s Club Football. If you’re a FIFA fan, this is one that you need to get and enjoy.

Right now, FIFA 23 on Steam is much cheaper than on PlayStation at RM 95.60.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a co-op game where players can solve puzzles and beat challenges together. It tells a rather compelling linear story where each level contains collectable objects called Dreamer Orbs which must be collected en-masse to progress to the end of the game.

Apart from that, the 3D graphics makes the game modern and fun to play compared to the LittleBigPlanet 2.5D series.

Sackboy is currently priced at RM166.83.

MK11, Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7

Mortal Kombat 11, Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7. Pick one and settle any difference with a game and see who wins. No need for physical fights when you can let your thumbs… or fingers do the work, the old fashion way.

Gang Beasts

Gang Beasts is an indie beat ’em up party game. It features mêlée fight sequences and absurdly hazardous environments.

If you’ve organized game nights, Jackbox Party Games are a joy to play with friends and family. It’s like Roblox where there’s several different games in a party pack.

Each Jackbox Party Pack series range from RM30 to RM40 but there are also bundle prices that’s cheaper and they’re less than RM100.

Overcooked 2

Wanna be a chef and look like an idiot sandwich? Well, Overcooked 2 and Overcooked All You Can Eat are games  where even professional chefs have trouble cooking up a storm. Think you can find the lamb sauce and make some crusty Beef Wellington?

Overcooked 2 is currently priced at  RM14.75 while Overcooked All You Can Eat is priced at RM69.50.

Among Us

Sus. If you haven’t played Among Us, you’re lying. A hit sensation back in 2020-2021, Among Us let’s you spot who the imposter is and who’s your real friends. A game of lies, deception and murder, Among Us is a game where you will either strengthen your friendship and relationships with your family, or break them, just like a Monopoly game.

Among Us is currently priced at RM 8.75

Gotham Knights

If your friends and family are Batfam or DC fans, then Gotham Knights will interest you guys. It’s not really a party game, but it is a co-op game. Gotham Knights let’s you control characters from the Bat family – Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood and Robin.

Gotham Knights, albeit it’s a slightly newer game, it’s on 50% off and priced at RM102.50.

Epulze, the host of the 2022-2023 Southeast Asia Dota Pro Circuit, has just tweeted that 🇲🇲Yangon Galacticos have been disqualified from the DPC 2023 SEA Winter Tour Closed Qualifier.

Kaung Sett Hein (KSH) has been found guilty of scripting and received a LIFETIME BAN from Epulze. His remaining teammates in 🇲🇲Yangon Galacticos are banned until further notice, pending a more extensive investigation.

Prior to joining SEAGM in August of 2021, Joseph has been practicing law for about 7 years. During his spare time, he finds himself mindlessly scrolling through social media apps such as Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram.

The Legal & Compliance Team keeps an eye on the company to ensure that it doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary. 

According to Joseph, “We ensure that the company conducts itself in a legal and compliant manner. At the end of the day, our objective is to help forge good relationships with our business partners while at the same time protecting the company’s interests.”

“I believe I don’t micromanage. I allow my team members to explore doing the work and make mistakes along the way, and that’s okay. I’m focused on creating clear goals and expectations, as well as giving them the resources and support they need to achieve them. In addition to valuing excellent communication, I also try to be approachable and open to criticism. My overall objective is to lead effectively and fairly,” he added.

The PlayStation Year-End Sale is here! There are many games that are over 40% off and they’re not indie games, most of them are Triple-A games meant to play on consoles, from a Star Wars bundle that’s 60% off and The Witcher 3, which recently released their latest next-gen update.

Here are some PlayStation games from various genres that you should buy during this sale.

Far Cry 6 – FPS

If you’re a Far Cry fan, now’s the time to get Far Cry 6, Gustavo Fring demands it (yeah, a Breaking Bad reference there for you).  This Far Cry story takes to a fictional South American country in Yara where Giancarlo Esposito plays the main villain, a ruthless and cunning dictator, Anton Castillo.

Like every Far Cry game, there are sadness and sorrow but with gratifying rewards in the end. There are also a few endings you can go through if you make the right decisions of course.

If you’re into a game with a compelling storyline and a non-linear FPS game, then you should get Far Cry 6. But, is it the best in the series? Personally, I feel that Far Cry 6 is not the BEST BUT, but, there are 6 other games, it’s hard to top the previous games even if the story is really good. However, it is easily one of the Top Far Cry games I’ve played and you should give it a try.

Right now, you can get Far Cry 6 Game of the Year edition for RM151.60

Not really convinced here’s another FPS game you can try.

DOOM Eternal Deluxe Edition – FPS

If Space FPS with a badass, OP MC is what you’re looking for then Doom Eternal is the game you need to check out.

It’s a horror action game where you play the role of the Doom Slayer and you kill evil aliens with your weapons. It’s a fast-paced, at times cheesy storyline but it is undoubtedly cool. 10/10 you’d wanna cosplay as the Doom Slayer after playing this game.

Skyrim – Action RPG/ Open-World

If you’re an Action RPG fan, Skyrim is one you NEED to play. NEED as in N-E-E-D. There’s a reason why Bethesda hasn’t come out with any other game since Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and it’s because of its superb world-building.

Skyrim is one of the games you need to play before you die. It’s currently selling at RM35.

The Witcher 3 – Action RPG/ Open-World

The Witcher 3 is another game that you’d need to play before you die. While Skyrim is centred more on world-building, The Witcher 3 focuses on the characters. You tend to get invested in Geralt of Rivia and Ciri and how they face the Wild Hunt.

With the brand new next-gen update just released, it’s a great game to play right now.

EA Star Wars (Battlefront 2, Fallen Order, Squadron)- Bundle of Third-person shooter, open-world adventure

MrBeast is now the No.1 Individual Youtuber In The World. Yes, you heard that right. A few days ago, MrBeast overtook Pewdiepie in the race of Youtube subscribers. MrBeast currently has 119 million subscribers and is growing by the day.

Although MrBeast is the number 4 most subscribed channel on Youtube, the three other Youtube channels above him are brand channels such as T-Series (music content from 🇮🇳India), Cocomelon Nursery Rhymes (education content from the 🇺🇸United States), and SET India (entertainment content from 🇮🇳India). It will take him a while before he can take down those giants, but we believe he can one day!

We from SEAGM would like to congratulate MrBeast for being an awesome Youtuber and creating many amazing videos. Pewdiepie also made a congratulatory video for MrBeast for surpassing his subscriber count in the most epic way possible- Doing a book review.

Developing new interests increase the chance of happiness

Ken has a degree in Finance and Management, and has been with SEAGM since July of last year. Outside his role as a Business Development Manager, he enjoys a lot of things during his free time.

“Everyone has their interests. For me, I enjoy cooking during the weekend and spending time with my pet dog. I always try new hobbies and develop new interests as well; this helps to increase the chance of happiness.”

Identifying opportunities in the target market, developing relationships with key accounts, increasing brand awareness, and seeking new opportunities that promote growth – these are the main roles of the Business Development Team.

“I think my dedication, integrity, commitment and courage are my most important values. Instead of a team manager, I consider myself more as a team leader. A team leader inspires and motivates the team members to achieve their goals. I always do my best to figure out what motivates each of the team members. This way, I can individually discuss with them about how a goal or a change can benefit them and the team.”

Ken added, “I always encourage my team to share their ideas and dreams. Once they have a good sense of what’s important and why, before figuring it all out, we’ll discuss it together.”
