If you’re looking for a way to switch things up, this How To will cover everything from the settings to the etiquettes of Hide and Seek in Among Us. Among Us has been out for a while now (around two years) and has been an internet sensation for a good few months. You may have stretched the limits of the game by now, like understanding how to read logs, turning off confirm ejects, and even turning off visual tasks, so Hide and Seek is a great game mode to keep things fresh in the casual department.
Here are the base settings to adhere to. You can tweak them to your squad’s comfort as you move along!
- # Imposters: 1
- Confirm Ejects: Off
- # Emergency Meetings: 1
- Emergency Cooldown: 20s
- Discussion Time: 15s
- Voting Time: 15s
- Player Speed: 1x
- Crewmate Vision: 5x
- Imposter Vision: 0.25x
- Kill Cooldown: 10s
- Kill Distance: Medium
- Visual Tasks: Off
- Number of Common Tasks: 0
- # Long Tasks: 0
- # Short Tasks: 5
For one, you can ditch the standard Among Us rules; Hide and Seek is all about hectic fun. Instead, take note of these standards to follow:
- Whether having Voice Chat on or off is up to you.
- There is only one Imposter.
- Imposters must reveal their identity at the beginning of the round.
- The Imposter can only sabotage Lights or Comms depending on the game mode
- Additionally, Imposters cannot sabotage doors.
- Imposters may not vent.
Additionally, if you’re feeling daring, lower down the player speed!
Of course, if you notice your party struggling to have a good time, you can easily tweak these rules to ensure yourselves a good time.
Here’s how you can set up the win conditions.
Among Us Hide and Seek Win Condition: Last Alive
As the title suggests, the entire point of this mode is to be the last remaining crewmate alive. It’s not the most popular form of the game mode, but it’s very casual and laid back; great for a laugh.
The Imposter also gets to sabotage lights, putting everyone in a blind, hectic frenzy.
Among Us Hide and Seek Win Condition: Complete Tasks
Unlike “Last Alive”, this mode has a bit more depth to it. The killer sabotages comms, and the crewmates have to scour each room to determine their tasks.
They have the advantage of knowing where the Imposter is, but are at risk of the Imposter’s ranged kills. If they’re stuck on tasks, that’s the end of the line.
And that’s all you need to know on how to play Hide and Seek in Among Us! Remember, at the end of the day, it’s just to have fun, so you don’t have to go too ham on the rules. Just a heads up! Mini-Crewmates are not really helpful in this game mode. When you’re hiding they tend to stick out and may stumble into the Imposters field of vision. Nevertheless, you can get them for Among Us mobile by reloading your Google Play or iTunes wallet with SEAGM. Want to get the game on Steam? We got attractive prices for every Steam Wallet region too.
