Surprised, but Not Unexpected: Cyberpunk 2077 Faces Yet Another Delay
Surprise, surprise. The Witcher 3 studio CD Projekt Red has just announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is once again seeing a delay. This time, it’s getting a 21-day delay. With this, Cyberpunk 2077 now has a new release date of December 10, 2020.
Cyberpunk 2077 made sure to announce the delay on all their main social media, including Steam.
This comes three weeks after developers CD Projekt Red announced that the development team would be instilling a mandatory crunch period to finish development on the game, two weeks after the game’s gold status announcement, and one day after Cyberpunk 2077’s senior level designer Miles Tost defended the team’s decision to cut features from the game.
First announced in 2012, the game underwent a series of delays and changes. A lot of gameplay features in the pre-Alpha game footage will not be appearing in the final game. This includes wall-running, vehicle customization, third-person cutscenes, and more.
Chinese phone manufacturer OnePlus will be releasing a Cyberpunk 2077 special edition of their latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 8T. Pre-sales should be open November 4, though with the recent delay announcement that might change.
One collaboration that isn’t changing, however, is the SEAGM x Dreamcore collaboration. By pre-ordering via this link, you stand a chance to win the collector’s edition of the game, custom Dreamcore PCs, and even SEAGM Steam Wallet codes.
