Square-Enix has recently revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Shadow of The Tomb Raider game. In this recent trailer entitled “Treacherous Traversal”, we see Lara Craft expanding her capabilities with new improved climbing techniques.

Treacherous Traversal breakdown

The more I watch the trailer, the better it gets. Compared to the previous E3, the game looks more polished now which is good news. From the clips, it shows Lara Croft using her trusty pickaxe hanging on and climbing similar to the previous Tomb Raider titles.

Some key features are shown in the clip, showing Lara hanging down from ropes and using wall running like she is the modern Assassin’s Creed. Accompanying her on her new adventures is a new toy which is a grappling hook. In one scene we can see Lara swinging from one rock to another. Look out Spider-Man, here comes your friendly adventurer Spider-Lara.

I won’t lie, even the scenery looks amazing so far. The climbing and swinging animations thus far look great, I am hoping to see what more do they have installed for the game. With the release date getting closer, I really can’t wait to get a hold of my copy of the game.

If you haven’t seen the trailer “Treacherous Traversal”, here it is:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is scheduled to release on 14 September 2018 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
