It has been two months since Monster Hunter World came out in January. Yet, Capcom is doing a really fantastic job at keeping the hype up for their best seller. Monster Hunter World is Capcom’s top-selling title, having shipped 7.5 million copies worldwide. No surprise there because this game is just amazing. To make it even better, Capcom announced yesterday that there’s going to be a Monster Hunter World Devil May Cry collaboration!
Dante In Astera
To celebrate the launch of Devil May Cry HD Collection, Capcom is bringing two of its franchise together in a big crossover. Previously, they brought in Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn and Ryu from Street Fighters V. Just like the previous events, to get Dante all you have to do is do the event quest. Based on the trailer, it seems like Dante’s weapon is going to be in the form of a Charge Blade. If you haven’t seen the trailer, check it out right above! The Charge Blade animation looks amazing. Now, a Charge Blade usually comes with a sword and shield combo that can switch to an axe. For this collaboration, they are taking shield out of the equation to make Dante feel more like, well – Dante.
There’s no date yet but there is a Monster Hunter World live stream coming up tomorrow and they will be giving us more info on Deviljho, the first DLC monster. Capcom will most likely talk about when this event is dropping too.
