There’s a free legendary Pokemon up for grabs on both Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. Latias and Latios will be available starting September 1 until September 23. Don’t miss out on the chance to add these “airplane birbs” to your Pokedex! Do bear in mind that each of them is version specific. Meaning, if you own Ultra Sun, you will get a Latias and vice versa. If for some reason you have both copies of the game then you can get both of them.
Latias and Latios
As long as you have a copy of either Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, or Ultra Moon – you’re eligible. There are differences between the normal and Ultra versions though, here is what you will get upon redeeming:
Latias
Pokemon Sun
- Level: 60
- Ability: Levitate
- Moves: Mist Ball, Dragon Pulse, Psycho Shift, Wish
Pokemon Ultra Sun
- Level: 100
- Ability: Levitate
- Held Item: Gold Bottle Cap
- Moves: Mist Ball, Psychic, Draco Meteor, Tailwind
Latios
Pokemon Moon
- Level: 60
- Ability: Levitate
- Moves: Luster Purge, Dragon Pulse, Psycho Shift, Dragon Breath
Pokemon Ultra Moon
- Level: 100
- Ability: Levitate
- Held Item: Gold Bottle Cap
- Moves: Luster Purge, Psychic, Draco Meteor, Tailwind
The difference between the two versions are mainly the held items and the level of the Pokemon. Otherwise, the most significant difference would be their move sets.
How to redeem?
- Open up your Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, or Ultra Moon game.
- Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
- Tap on Receive Gift.
- Get via Internet (Yes, you need an internet connection to continue).
- You’re done at this point. Just watch as the Legendary Pokemon arrives in your game via a fancy cutscene.
- Enter the game, speak to the delivery person in any Pokemon Center to receive your Legendary Pokemon.
- Once done, don’t forget to save your game.
