Who Is Aloy

Aloy is an outcast from the Nora Tribe. She’s known as the hunter of machines, a Seeker and now, the Savior from another World. In her original world, Aloy was destined to be the heroine to heal her dystopian world, corrupted with machines and viruses and evil tribes.

Now, for reasons unknown to us, she has arrived in a new world. One filled with never-before-seen challenges, and she throws herself gladly into the hunt once more.

In the Genshin Impact Universe, Aloy is a level 5 Cryo character who carries a level 4 Predator bow.

What’s Her Story

Aloy is the hero and main protagonist of the hit video game, Horizon Zero Dawn. She’s from a post-apocalyptic world in 3021 and was raised as as an outcast. She trains as a warrior with her adoptive father, Rost, to win a ritual competition to find out who her mother is. Rost was also an outcast who cared deeply for Aloy. Aloy’s journey to seek the truth began after the ritual competition where she would later find out about the roboticist and engineer, Dr Elisabet Sobeck.

The twist came after Aloy found out that she was a clone of Dr Sobeck, created by an A.I from the Zero Dawn projects known as GAIA. Later, Aloy discovered that her true purpose was to stop HADES, a rogue AI hellbent on reactivating the Faro Plague to eradicate life on earth once again.

That being said, we can’t wait to see what Guerilla Games has in store for us with Horizon Forbidden West.

How Did She End Up In Teyvat?

Though there’s no clear story as to how Aloy ended up in the world of Teyvat besides the fact that Horizon Forbidden West is coming out soon.

From the information we’ve gathered so far, apparently Aloy found a portal in one of the ancient, dilapidated laboratories. As she got closer to the portal she was enveloped by powerful energies, and saw her own image within the portal. She thought she was looking into a mirror, feeling as if she were in two places at once.

In an instance, the world that Aloy knew completely disappeared from her sight, and she now finds herself in a strange yet beautiful new world. She may have encountered strange and powerful tribes, ancient ruins filled with mysteries, and dangerous enemies, both human and machines, she has not faced enemies like the ones in Teyvat.

How To Get Her?

For now, Aloy remains claimable on the PlayStation console. However, when the 2.2 update arrives on 13 October, she’ll be available to all Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 20 or above.

In case you don’t know how to get her to her best, here’s a basic and possibly the easiest build for the Nora huntress.

If you’re looking to increase her main Cryo DPS you should:

Use the Thundering Pulse bow, and upgrade it with 2 Gladiator Finale and 2 Blizzard Strayer. This will increase her attack by 18% and Cryo damage bonus by 15%.

Note: You should focus on upgrading Aloy’s attack percentage, Cryo damage bonus and CRIT damage. Most importantly, don’t forget to have fun.
