When you talk about PC games, 90% of the time the game’s on Steam. In fact, Steam recently revamped their Database website to showcase its games stats, showing gamers more transparency and also games that others are playing.

From DOTA 2 to Cyberpunk 2077, we’ve listed some of the Hottest Steam games that you should be playing today.

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 Resurgence; 5 Hottest Steam Games

Remember back in 2020 when Cyberpunk 2077 first came out? Oh boy, what a mess it was. As much of a fan I was for the lore and design of the world, the glitches and bugs were a pain in the butt. It’s like if GTA V were to come out but with bugs and glitches that were totally uncalled for. I did try my best to enjoy it as much as I could cause I bought it at Full Price, but I couldn’t. Fast forward 2 years later and we have a brand new game in our midst. The latest 1.6 update feels like a new game and I wish that CDPR would have just waited until now to release the game, it would receive so much more love compared to 2020. In fact, 2022 is a year for Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red in my opinion.

With the release of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime (one of the best video game anime ever), it gives us more backstory to the lore and finally answering our age old question of what the David Martinez drink is all about. The compelling story and character development also made it more meaningful for players to jump back into Cyberpunk 2077. Not to mention hearing Rosa Walton’s I Really Want To Stay At Your House with different emotions, majority of it were emotional damage.

Also, #F*$k Adam Smasher!

While the iron is hot, it would be great if fans and players were gifted with a bunch of brand new Edgerunner content in the game. Well, we did have a bunch but we need more!

Since the anime came out, there were more than 1 million people who came back to play Cyberpunk 2077. With the upcoming DLC, Phantom Liberty coming out in 2023 and ditching the previous gen consoles, it does look like Cyberpunk 2077 will have a brighter future ahead.

DOTA 2 is a classic. When you talk about Steam games, Defense of the Ancients 2 is definitely one of the games that comes into mind.  With The International 11 looming closer each day, players are more hype to playing DOTA 2 each day, trying to see if they can emulate their favourite players’ strategy. Moreover, this year’s DOTA 2 Battle Pass looks really good, the highlight are Arcana skins for Faceless Void and Phantom Assassin.

Fifa 23

FIFA 2023; 5 Hottest Steam Games

Olé! A new year means a new FIFA game! However, this will be FIFA’s final game (it’s going to be named EA Sports FC) and according to reviews since the release, it has been considered as one of the best FIFA game in recent times.
According to The Guardian, FIFA 23 is a game where developers decided to go out on a high note. Apart from the graphics and gameplay being upgraded, there are also a few new features that fans can enjoy.
One of the main features of the game is the HyperMotion2 and machine learning technology. This helps developers to add over 6000 brand new animations which looks smoother and more realistic. This technology upgrades how the players look when they shoot, sprint and dribble on the pitch as well as a more fluid movement and interactions off the pitch.
Other than that, players can disable “Critical Commentary” so you wouldn’t hear the AI commentators trolling your skills on FIFA.
There’s also woman’s league called Women’s Club Football and it looks really good. If you’re a FIFA fan, this is one that you need to get and enjoy.

Counter Strike Global Offensive

If you played any CS in your lifetime, that’s exactly what you will hear 80% of the time in game. The classic and pioneer to Battle Arena games like Apex Legends, is still standing strong and has the highest numbers of players. There are currently over 900,000 players worldwide.

Lost Ark

Yes, we know, Lost Ark is somewhat a new game and it’s not in accessible in every region. Well, that is true, but with VPN, anything seems to be possible. How you ask? Check out our video to find out how:

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

The sequel to the classic Call of Duty Modern Warfare reboot is coming back to Steam! Yeap, it has been several years since Call of Duty stopped coming out on Steam and was solely on Blizzard’s Battlenet. But, now, you can follow Captain Price and his team on a brand new adventure with new realistic missions that we love. We can’t wait to play it for sure. It comes out on 28 October.
