Yep, it’s that time of the year again for Sony to dominate the gaming market by releasing games into the end year towards the holiday season. In 2022, you know that they are not playing when they have multiple AAA games to release in order to drag people away from the PC Master Race with this list.

Persona 3 Portable , Persona 4 Golden & Persona 5 Royal

Yes I know, at this point Atlus and Sony are just milking the Persona series dry but lets be honest, we are all dying to experience the latest Personal game in the instalment but for the moment, experiencing the past games on modern hardware is really going to be a treat.

The Persona games releasing this time around are in no chronological order, so newcomers to the series can start with whichever instalment into the series and you will still have a good time. But as for veterans, I’m jumping on the same boat as you to relive the nostalgia and refined graphics of Personal 3 portable.

While Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will be coming to the Playstation 4 ONLY, Playstation 5 players will still be able to enjoy the franchise due to its backwards compatibility alongside enjoying Persona 5 Royal on the latest hardware at 60 FPS and 4K resolution.

The release dates on these games are spread out which falls in between Q4 2022 – Q1 2023.

The Callisto Protocol

Did the trailer give you Dead Space vibes? Calling it the spiritual successor, The Callisto Protocol is developed by the same team at Striking Distance Studios led by the creator of Dead Space himself, Glen Scholfield.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Dead Space series, it takes place in a post-apocalyptic environment in outer space cultivated by alien-like creatures called necromorphs.

While The Callisto protocol follows a similar setting, it is still not confirmed what are of the creatures that you will come across, the only thing we can advice you to do when you do meet one. Shoot the tentacles, not the limbs. The survival-horror is set to release on the 2nd December 2022.

The New Tales from the Borderlands

Out with the old and in with the new. If you’re looking to enjoy a game rich of story while sitting back on your couch for a casual gaming session, then The Tales from the Borderlands is right up your alley. This new tell tale game by Gearbox Studios has a brand new cast and from the looks of the current footage we have, which may be both good and bad for the fans of the series.

On one hand , it does feel fresh to experience the game around entirely new characters, some of us actually have grown attached to the Rhys era and it is hard to let go. Call it wishful thinking but having a cameo with the old cast wouldn’t hurt.

The New Tales from the Borderlands is coming out to platforms on 21s October 2022.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Yes you read that right and no this is not a remake of the series back in 2009, this is a sequel to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare which was released in 2019. What’s not to love about the Call of Duty Series? Besides the occasional story campaign enjoyer, the majority of the player base look forward to the most is the multiplayer aspect.

A number of significant modifications are made to the Call of Duty gameplay overall in Modern Warfare II. A number of new additions have been hailed, including a revamped vehicle system, an upgraded AI system in the campaign and co-op modes, water physics, and swimming mechanics.

And on top of that, in order to justify it’s steep price point, the lifespan of any game under the Call of Duty mainline series typically lasts for at least 2-4 years so while you do need to pay a hefty price, its well worth it for the experience in the long-run.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare will be released on November 10th 2022.

God of War Ragnarok

Some time has passed and Kratos sets on another journey with his not so young boy, Atreus. But this time instead of looking for the highest peak in the realm, he’s looking for answers. There is so much anticipation for this game due to the build up we’ve experienced in the previous game back in 2018.

Without spoiling any events that has happened, familiar characters are coming back to the series such as Freya, wife to Odin the Allfather and mother of Baldur. Brok, a dwarf that dedicates his life to craftsmanship is still working alongside his twin brother Sindri.

And of course with the introduction of new characters that we have not seen before but only heard of their stories in game such as Tyr, the Norse God of War and even Thor, the God of Thunder and father of Magni and Modi.

This game just screams out hype and I’m all up for it,  running to the store to get it as soon as it drops and that will be the November 9th 2022.
