Playing through Shadow of the Tomb Raider, you will encounter a few puzzles along your way. Fairly early in the game, Lara will have a flashback to her younger days – here you will have to solve a rather hard puzzle called the Mystery of the White Queen. Tomb Raider has always had a lot of puzzles but I did not think that they would put a rather intricate puzzle as part of the main story. This was quite interesting as I had to calmly assess what I had to do. If you are having problems with this – here is the White Queen puzzle guide to assist you.
Turn the globe
When you enter Croft Manor, there will be a cutscene where Lara is seen holding a piece of paper hinting some sort of coordinates. If you forgot the coordinate numbers, you can open your inventory to view the paper again.
Take a look around the room you will notice a huge globe. Head on over to it and enter the coordinates shown in the paper (North 30 and East 90).
Once you are done with the globe, a ladder will drop down – climb up and go to the other side of the room. Here you will see a lever to operate the bat wings. Use the lever to expand the wings and shine two red lights towards the floor below.
Head back downstairs and align the two shields onto the glowing red light on the floor. You may need to move aside a few knights blocking your way. Doesn’t matter where you place the knights – just as long as the two shields are on the glowing red light. Once this is done, the queen will be revealed.
Saving the Queen
Easy enough, to free the queen, use the globe again and just change the coordinates to any number other than the previous answer. Doing this the ladder will lift back up and the queen is free. Move the queen onto the third light shining between the two shields. Once you do this the puzzle is complete.
