Totally Accurate Battlegrounds was initially an April Fools joke by a bunch of developers from Landfall. It ends up being a diamond in a rough with its wacky physic-based characters and fun mechanics. It’s also a little buggy. Made as a parody of the Battle Royale genre, this game doesn’t take itself seriously at all. And that is exactly it’s unique selling point. Well, guess what? You can get Totally Accurate Battlegrounds free for the next 100 hours!

What is Totally Accurate Battlegrounds?

It’s a silly game with silly physics that’ll give you and your friends a good time. The fact that it doesn’t take itself seriously at all is why it’s so fun. It makes fun of PUBG and Fortnite by implementing familiar mechanics from said games. With weird googly eyes and wildly swinging arms, smacking someone with a frying pan will never be the game again.
Totally Accurate Battlegrounds or TABG is a meme-tradition from Landfall. Every year, Landfall has a tradition of making a parody of existing games. Even though the tradition began in 2016, we hope they continue it because honestly, the games the parodies they come up with are absolutely fun and downright silly. Previously they came out with Supertruck – a mix between Superhot and Clustertruck and last year, they put together TABZ, a mix of TABS and DAY-Z.

If you’re wondering why this game came out in June instead of April, the devs said that they encountered networking issues back in April. However, they were still determined to push this game out. So to celebrate its release today, they’re giving away the game for free for the next 100 hours! After the first 100 hours, the game will cost $4.99 and will go towards maintaining the servers. Get the game here on Steam! Also feel free to check out the really funny trailer above. Oh and, while you’re at it, don’t forget to claim Xenonauts for free here!
