Marvel’s Spider-Man hasn’t even released yet and they have already laid out plans for a three-part series. The City That Never Sleeps will be the first Spider-Man DLC featuring three episodes. Aimed to provide further post-release content for players, the first episode is coming out on October 23. As for the game itself, Spider-Man is coming next month on September 7 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

What is the Spider-Man DLC about?

Prior to its release, Sony has already been showing a substantial amount of content for the base game itself. From being able to freely swing around Brooklyn to intensive combat, the game looks poised to impress. So what can you get from this Spider-Man DLC? As a three-parter, each episode comes with a new mission, villains, characters plus additional suits for the web-slinger himself.

Spider-Man: The Heist is the name of the first episode. The story will revolve around Felicia Hard, also known as Black Cat. There isn’t much detail yet on the other two episode except for its name plus when they’ll be out. As for the other episodes, Spider-Man: Turf Wars and Spider-Man: Silver Lining, they will drop in the following months. November and December, specifically, for each.

Which edition to get?

Players can choose to purchase either the full The City Never Sleeps collection on release or get each episode separately. The full collection cost $24.99 whereas getting each episode separately is $9.99 each.
Alternatively, for those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99) will receive The City That Never Sleeps alongside the base game.
Besides that, if you’re a big fan and want more Spidey-goody, the pre-order will net more exclusive freebies as well. Pre-ordering any edition of Spider-Man will get you the Spidey Suit Pack featuring Spider-Punk. Other suits have yet to be revealed but there’s a total of three suits in this pack. On top of that, there’s also a Spider-Drone gadget, an exclusive PSN avatar and one dynamic PlayStation 4 theme. Last but not least, pre-ordering also gives you a boost in the early game. It also comes with extra skill points to enhance your web-swinging experience.
