Nintendo Switch Online coming late September

Recently Nintendo has confirmed that the new Nintendo Switch Online service will be launching sometime in late September 2018. The Nintendo Switch Online is a paid service in which it gives certain benefits to paid members.

The Features

Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online

Relive your childhood with the classic NES games that are accessible to members. The collection will launch with 20 games initially with more games to be added gradually. So far the titles that have been announced are:

  • Mario Bros
  • Super Mario Bros
  • Super Mario Bros 3
  • Dr. Mario
  • Donkey Kong
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Tennis
  • Soccer
  • Balloon Fight
  • Ice Climber

Rather than just play these classics offline, you will be able to enjoy these classics online with friends. This is a first for these classic titles from NES. Even if you are playing a single-player game, friends are able to watch you play online and there is a “pass the controller” feature which lets you switch at any time. Turning the olden couch gaming experience online. Don’t worry about communicating with your friends as you are able to turn on voice chat while enjoying your gameplay session with the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app.

Save Data Cloud Backup

Now you don’t have to worry about your save data because a backup will be stored online for easy access. More details regarding the cloud backup are not yet available. Though they will release more details before the service launches in late September.

Special Offers

For this, there isn’t much to go on with. I am hoping it is not just special deals for games with discounted prices. If they were to give selected titles for free for a particular month and time, that would be interesting. We will just have to wait and see what exactly the “Special Offers” are for members.
