[Update] miHoYo has released the Genshin Impact v2.0 update is HERE! Moreover, the update added a new region and three playable characters.
Two weeks ago, miHoYo released a brand new trailer showcasing the latest update of its popular, free-to-play open world adventure, Genshin Impact v2.0. The trailer also showcased the highly anticipated Inazuma region. The studio is calling the update The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia.
Not only is there a new region to explore, but it also includes 3 new characters, plus a cross-save function between platforms. This means players get to cross-save their progress across the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Android and iOS platforms.
If you haven’t updated the game yet, you can explore new places in Inazuma, including the Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor, two of the seven major cities in Teyvat,
The Inazuma region will include 6 main islands and is often accompanied by strong sea breeze and thunderstorms.
Although Inazuma is affected by fleeting lightning and the Electro element, the Electro Archon who rules the area has turned to the pursuit of eternity
Genshin Impact also introduced the region leader of Inazuma, Baal and three new playable characters. They are Kamisato Ayaka, Yoimiya and Sayu. (If you didn’t get Ayaka, don’t worry. We got Mona too.)
Here’s What We Know About Them From miHoYo’s Official Press Release:
Kamisato Ayaka, the daughter of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan. She is a familiar face to fans since the closed beta testing and will be added as a five-star Cryo sword user.
Yoimiya is a five-star Pyro archer and an expert in fireworks. Known as the “Queen of the Summer Festival,” Yoimiya excels in her craft of creating fireworks that symbolize people’s hopes and dreams.
Finally, Sayu is a new four-star ninja character who wields an Anemo Vision and a giant claymore bigger than herself.
Based on the press release, the update will also enhance the characters feature for the PS5 version.
