Since it is the last day of July, let’s check out what games releasing August 2018. There are a lot of game releases coming so brace yourself. I will be listing my top 5 picks and at the bottom, I will put as many titles that are up for the month of August.

Overcooked! 2

The sequel to the 2016 multiplayer hit comes back strong with new gameplay features as well as online multiplayer capabilities. Play solo or gather up to 4 friends and work as chefs in the kitchen full of obstacles to prepare enough meals to accomplish your goals. There are a lot of improvements to the game compared to the first game. One of it is you can now toss ingredients to one another, onto the floor and even straight to the frying pan.

The game is set to release on 7 August for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Monster Hunter World

Finally, Monster Hunter World will be out on the PC. This is the latest installment of the Monster Hunter series which features a living, breathing ecosystem. If you are unfamiliar with the series, the game lets you take on the role of a hunter that slays ferocious monsters. Go forth as a lone wolf or hunt in a pack with co-op play amongst your friends up to 3 other players to take on more challenging foes and gather better loot.

So get ready for the hunt of your lives as the game comes this 10 August on the PC.

Okami HD

This legendary masterpiece returns in a breathtaking HD view. Assume the role of Amaterasu who is the Japanese sun goddess which inhabits the form of the legendary white wolf Shiranui. This HD remaster of the game lets you play in either widescreen and the original 4:3 aspect ration if you prefer. Play the game using your Joy-Con or use the touchscreen while in portable mode.

Coming to the Nintendo Switch this 9 August.

Shenmue I & II

The game puts Shenmue I & II together as one package. So you are not getting one but two games. The game will come with many improvements. One of the new features is that the players can enjoy both the modern and classic control schemes for the game. There is also the updated user interface, scalable screen resolution, and both English and Japanese voiceovers.

This HD collection will come out on 21 August 21 and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Yakuza Kiwami 2

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of the second Yakuza game which released on the PS2 in 2008. In Kiwami 2 there are some reworks for the story and new improvements on the combat and visuals. Enter this fast-paced combat system with tons of action packed into one game as you take on the role of Kazuma Kiryu in his life as a member of the Yakuza.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be out on the PlayStation 4 this 28 August.
