Sony is taking a different route this year for their pre-E3 show and today, we were graced with Days Gone release date! Every year Sony does a countdown show prior to the actual day of their E3 media showcase. Changing things up this year, they’re doing a day-by-day announcement countdown instead. Check out this post from PlayStation Asia. Basically, they set out a five days countdown with each day featuring a different announcement. Today, Days Gone release date got a confirmation on top of a new trailer! Check out the new trailer above.
The world comes for you
That’s the tagline they’re going for and the trailer depicts it really well. Showcasing new threats other than just the undead, the trailer shows many other dangers that player will face when they jump in the game. You’re going to have to fight mountain lions, cougars and even infected ravens. These ravens are called Criers so there’s probably some sort of mechanic involving them since they have a name. The name Crier most likely means they will warn the undead horde of your presence?
Finally, at the end of the trailer is the reveal of Days Gone release date! It’ll be coming out next year in 2019 on February 22. The game was initially planned for 2018 but the team wanted to refine it even more before releasing it. For that, I am eternally grateful since I prefer a properly completed game over a rushed buggy release. Days Gone is made by the same people who made Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the PlayStation Vita. Days Gone has been in development since 2015 and here’s hoping the good, solid four years of production gave it the polish it deserves! Look out for more trailer in E3 next week, don’t miss a show with our schedule for all major time zones.
