The Pokémon Company recently released a video presentation revealing its upcoming projects for the Nintendo Switch. The Pokémon games coming soon will include the remake of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

There’ll also be tons of updates fans can look forward to in the near future. From Pokémon Unite to Pokémon Go, Pokémon Masters EX, and even the puzzle game, Pokémon Cafe Mix will be getting an update.

Here are the highlights in the Pokémon Presents

The free-to-play MOBA game, Pokémon Unite is set to release on Android and iOS on September 22. If you’ve started on the Switch while waiting for your friends, don’t worry. The mobile version will have a cross play feature with the Switch version. Moreover, there will be two more playable Pokémon coming to the Pokémon Unite universe: Mamoswine and Sylveon.

Next, the touch-based puzzle game,  Pokémon Cafe Mix will be getting a major revamp for the Nintendo Switch renamed to Pokémon Café ReMix. The game will include brand new puzzle elements, more Pokémon, and excitingly new dress-up options. But, the best part about this update is that the Pokémon get to eat!

There will also be a remake version of the classic Pokémon Diamond and Pearl on the Nintendo Switch. According to the presentation, the remake will stay faithful to the originals. The Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl game which was originally came out on the Nintendo DS back in 2006 will see the return of the original mini games, including Pokémon Super Contests, The Underground with the dowsing and Secret Base.

Additionally, players can customize their trainer’s outfit as well as their Poké Balls with collectible stickers which adds visual effects to throw animations. A brand new Nintendo Switch Lite console will also be released alongside the games, they feature Dialga and Palkia.

Introducing Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Game Freak also introduced a brand new game known as Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It’s a definite variation on the battles we’re all familiar with. When the battles begin, players will have a few style options for battling in a turn-based fashion.  No matter if it’s strength or agility, the situation will change the statistics based on specific moves. However, some Pokémon may can take a few turns in a row, based on their stats.

The turn-based mechanics in a Pokémon game definitely looks familiar, but the changes are as intriguing as ever.

There will also be four new Pokémon evolutions and variations coming to the game’s new Hisui region. They include Wyrdeer, Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Braviary, and Basculegion, a terrifying new evolution of Basculin.
