E3 2018: All Microsoft Xbox E3 2018 showcase announcements

It wasn’t hard for Microsoft to impress the crowd on the second day of E3 2018 after EA’s extremely low bar. Kicking things off for day two, Microsoft’s lineup was quite phenomenal. Confirming lots of the leaks that came out last week like Just Cause 4 and Devil May Cry 5. Check out the whole line up here, in order of how the show went down.

Halo Infinite

The show opened with a trailer from the start of Xbox – Halo. Announcing Halo Infinite, you can look forward to the return of Master Chief.

Ori and the Will of the Wisp

A follow up from the highly rated Ori and the Blind Forest, this new game gets a new gameplay trailer and it looks pretty damn good!

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Remember the From Software game they teased from last year? This is the one. A game set in feudal Japan, published by Activision.

Fallout 76

Todd Howard came on stage to make a guest appearance announcing the world premiere of Fallout 76 full trailer. Read more about the game’s feature here on the Bethesda E3 2018 round up.

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit

A Life is Strange spin-off that tells a story about a boy and his many adventures. This game will be free for download later this June 2018. Watch the trailer here.

Crackdown 3

Another Crackdown 3 trailer featuring Terry Crew. The trailer also included a release window – February 2019. Hopefully, there won’t be another delay! Watch the trailer here.

NieR Automata

Available on Xbox June 26.

Metro Exodus

A new trailer depicting the dangers player will face in the Metro universe, release date included. Metro Exodus will be coming out February 22, 2019. Watch the trailer here.

Kingdom Hearts III

Kingdom Hearts III also gets a new trailer plus release date, January 29. Check out the trailer below featuring Elsa and Olaf from Frozen.

Sea of Thieves

The game will be getting two expansion. Cursed Sails will be out in July and Forsaken Shores in September. Hope it’ll fix the no-content problem the game currently has.
At this point they showed a trailer for Battlefield V, nothing new, it’s the same from the EA showcase.

Forza Horizon 4

Forza Horizon 4 get its own little segment with the developers explaining how the game works with the season. Every season will change the map terrain!

Microsoft took a small break from game trailers and announcement at this part to announce new studios acquisition. Playground Games, Undead labs, Ninja Theory and Compulsion Games are now part of Microsoft. A new studio called The Initiative will be founded in Santa Monica. Let’s hope this acquisition will mean more IP coming from Microsoft.
The show then moves on to a quick shoutout to PUBG, featuring a quick trailer you can watch here. Next up is a trailer for Tales of Vesperia definitive edition.

The Division 2

Another world premiere featuring the sequel to Ubisoft’s The Division. The gameplay looks new but familiar, the setting of the game has also expanded to feature lush forest. Check out this really cool gameplay walkthrough.

At this point, they took the importunity to highlight the Xbox Game Pass. There’s a new feature called “Fast Start” that’ll make Game Pass titles load faster. Currently, only a few games are supported but they’ll be adding more.

Plus, if you’re an active subscriber, you can get Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited and The Division for free via the pass. Plus, Halo: Master Chief Collection will be added as well later this year. Also, games like Forza Horizon 4, Crackdown 3, Ashen, Warhammer Vermintide 2, After Party and Phoenix Point will be made available on release if you have the Pass.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

A new skateboarding game because EA won’t give us Skate 4! It looks pretty good, here’s the trailer.

Devil May Cry 5

Next, they invited the developer of DMC, Hideaki Itsuno and Matthew Walker up on stage. Boy, was Itsuno-san excited. Exclaiming “DMC is back!” with much gusto after showing off the trailer. Nero, what did they do to your arm?

Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course

Cuphead is getting a new DLC that will bring along a new playable character, Legendary Chalice as Miss Chalice. Get ready to explore a brand new isle with new bosses and new weapons! Here’s the trailer.


A cute little indie game featuring a fox. Fight monster and explore the world! Don’t be fooled by the cuteness of the game though, the boss looks pretty intense. See for yourself in this 10 minutes gameplay of Tunic by IGN.

Jump Force

A fighting game with massive crossover coming in 2019. Contain yourself! The trailer featured the likes of Naruto and Son Goku plus the guy from One Piece and Death Note. Watch the trailer here, you excited weeb 😛

Dying Light 2

Lots of parkour, lots of zombie. Bigger and more consequential world to run around in. Coming in 2019!

Battletoads get a quick announcement alongside Just Cause 4 and Gears of War 5 wraps up the show. But does it?!

Cyberpunk 2077

As Phil Spencer gave his closing speech, the big screen plus the whole venue basically gets hack and the show ends with a big, cinematic from none other than CD Projekt Red’s highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. Check out the new trailer!
