Crownfall Update - DOTA 2
The long-awaited update of Dota 2 is finally here (well, one part of it at least)! It features a brand new storyline of Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage’s entwined fate in a 4-part update; the consecutive updates will be available later on.
Crownfall introduces new and exciting ways to play Dota 2 with quite a lot of activities and minigames that you can play including A FISHING MINIGAME!!
Explore The Map of Crownfall Act 1
Right off the bat, you will be enamored by the beautiful and sprawling board-game map of Act 1 and your mission is to just simply explore them to your heart’s content! To advance the story, you will need a token that you will get by playing the game. But there’s a catch. Each hero will have different tokens so plan accordingly.
Arcana - Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit
DOTA 2 updates never really completed without arcanas and Crownfall brings out TWO, each for Crownfall’s main protagonists, Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage. Both of those exclusive skins came with alternate versions where you can pick and choose which one is more to your liking. You can have a higher chance of getting this skin by playing more games and completing the tasks in Crownfall (plus if your luck is high enough).
There are also two treasures as of right now that include very nice skins for a lot of the heroes. So, don’t worry if your main will be ignored as there are most likely more treasures and chests in the upcoming Act!
The downside of Crownfall Act 1
Although some players liked the updates and the changes it brought (including me), most of the players’ receptions are bad as there are no gameplay patches at all and there is no sight of the promised new hero, Ringmaster. The unsatisfied players dubbed the ‘Crownfall’ as the ‘Clownfall’ as we are the clowns all along but in Lord Gaben we believed. Nevertheless, I personally like the updates and its contents!
