Rift will be Free 2 Play starting 12th June 2013 with the release of Update 2.3: Empyreal Assault. Great new features accompanies this updates such as new players starts with 2 character slots and 3 bag slots, veteran players get to keep all existing items in their character, larger RIFT item store, in-game item gifting function and many more.
