Time to send back all the demons from whence they came!

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (SMTV:V) is going multi-platform on June 14, 2024, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation® 4, PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and Windows. SMTV:V features brand new storyline, polished features and IMPROVED GAMEPLAY!!

So, let’s dive into the worlds of demons, shall we?

Press Turn Combat

The series’ simple but rewarding turn-based Press Turn Combat system is back, with new skills and gameplay elements.

Every video game enemy has a weakness, whether it’s that bulging red eye, glowing hands or anything that stands out like a sore thumb (literally). Hit that in SMTV:V and you can overpower your opponent in no time!

So, let’s dive into the worlds of demons, shall we?

Magatsuhi Gauge & Skills

Your Ultimate Skill, basically. Once the gauge is full, you’ll be able to trigger special abilities, for offense or defense. There are over 50 Magatsuhi Skills with 20 Newly Added Abilities that you can mix and match between your allies to give you the best synergy on the battlefield.

Innate Skills (Passive)

Talking about mix and match, all demons now possess innate skills that will give you that extra edge in battle. These skills can also come in the form of offense or defense which adds that crucial bit of extra layer in the way you assemble your party.

Demon Conversations

WHO DOESN’T WANT TO TALK TO CUTE DEMONS!! I MEAN LOOK AT THEM!!

For those charismatic negotiators, an enthusiastic bard or an extrovert, good for you as you can strike up conversations with demons and they might (or might not) join your cause and stand side by side with you in battle.

Guest Characters

You will meet human characters as you progress through the story which then may aid you as allies in your journey. Ichiro and Yuzuru (both of these are guest characters) can also use the demon summoning program to add even more allies to your side, including their own demon partners. The more the merrier, right? (at least for the extrovert).

Consecutive Encounters

Want more luscious Macca and sweet EXP? Go to where the horde of enemies are as they will more likely to respawn more enemies after you butchered their brothers and sisters with awesomeness. Be warned! The fight will get tougher but if you come out on top, you will be granted luxuries and drop goods.
