Monster Hunter: World Release Date Announced

Monster Hunter: World release date was revealed during the 2017 PlayStation Press Conference. The producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto came on stage to announce the date and a few other things. The release will be a worldwide release on a Friday at midnight on January 26, 2018. These are the different editions you can get:

Physical/Digital Deluxe Edition (~$80)

  • Samurai set
  • 3 additional gestures: “Zen”, “Ninja Star”, “Sumo Slap”
  • 2 additional sticker sets: “MH All-Star Set”, “Sir Loin Set”
  • 1 additional face paint: “Wyvern”
  • 1 additional hairstyle: “Topknot”

*There will be future changes to include other stuff like hairstyles.

Collector’s Edition (~$140)

  • Monster Hunter: World game for PlayStation 4
  • Artbook featuring Monster Hunter: World “Monster Designs”
  • Monster Hunter: World special soundtrack download code (10 tracks)
  • Nergigante Figurine (size: approx. W140mm x D170mm x H125mm)
  • Product code card*

*This includes the item from the Deluxe Kit listed above

Pre-order bonus (Limited amount)

  • Origin Set Amor
  • Fairwind Charm (increases attack power and defense, adds glowing aura to left arm)

Monster Hunter: World LIOÆUS Edition PlayStation 4 PRO ($~450)

  • Special edition PlayStation 4 PRO
  • Special edition Dualshock Controller x 1

So, will you be getting that special edition console? Bear in mind that these are our rough translation directly from the press conference. We’ll update the translation later! Most importantly, Monster Hunter: World is literally 4 months away for PlayStation 4 players! As for PC players, no release date has been revealed yet but it is most like in late 2018.
