Nintendo released their latest Nintendo Direct video and there’s much to be seen so let’s get started!

Kirby Star Allies

Release Date: 16 March
One of the most beloved games of all time. Now Kirby can form an alliance with King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee! This means that dream attacks just got more intense! You can expect more allies to be added to the game in free updates post-launch! If you can’t wait for the release, you can download the demo version of the game!

Okami HD

Release Date: TBD
This beautiful game has been remastered and optimized for the Switch. Set off on your quest as Amaterasu, this time on the switch! New controls have been added to the game with the Switch’s touch screen in the hand-held mode. If you’ve already played this game, it looks like it would be worth re-experiencing it on the Switch.

Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido

Release Date: 8 June
As ridiculous as it sounds, this game has an intense backstory. Musashi, the game protagonist was raised in a world were sushi is forbidden. So as the player, you must have converyor belt sushi battles to defeat the sushi-hating empire and save the world! It’s essentially a puzzle game on the switch. The best part? You can battle you friends in multiplayer mode.

Project Octopath Traveler

Release date: 15 July
Square Enix’s new turn-based RPG game, Octopath Traveler, is coming to the switch! Play as a team of four heroes: Merchant, Dancer, Apothecary, Warrior. You can choose secondary classes for them to create new attacks. Loving the 2.5D graphics and nostalgic RPG design.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

This hack and slash game is coming to the switch. Play as Travis Touchdown who’s loaded into the game world. From there, you’ll have to fight your way through the game, literally. You can even play with your friends in the co-op mode!

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

If there’s one thing that Nintendo knows how to do, it’s platformers. And speaking of platformers, here’s another one! This is one massive puzzle game, a little different from the leaps and fancy tricks in Super Mario Odyssey but it looks fantastic regardless. This game will also be available on the Nintendo 3DS.

Super Smash Bros.

One of the most popular titles under the Nintendo name is finally coming to the Switch! You’ve asked for it, they’ve asked for it and now we’re finally getting it. To make it even better, new characters will be joining the roster.

Mario Tennis Aces

With this, the Switch will officially replace the Nintendo Wii U. Play as your favorite Mario characters and battle your friends in the most epic games of tennis you will ever play. You can now aim your shots in first person shooter mode. And now you can break your opponent’s racquets for an instant win. If you can’t wait for the release, Nintendo’s doing a Pre-launch online tournament
