Story Overview of the Game
In a world trapped in eternal night, Rememento: White Shadow follows a Warden tasked with uncovering divine memories—Remementos—to stop a spreading curse.
As dark forces like the Moonlight Church and Witch Cult tighten their grip, the Warden must piece together a forgotten past, encountering allies and enemies shaped by lost power and buried truths.
How Does the Combat System Works?
🌀 Turn-Based Core with MP Management
Unlike energy or cooldown-based skills seen in many mobile RPGs, the game uses Mana Points (MP) system for skill activation. Each character has a limited MP pool, where different skills will consumes different amount of MP depending on the skill tiers, which contains 3 tiers. The higher the damage, the higher the MP consumption rate. Some of the characters can even gain MP back through passive traits or “on hit” effects, letting you cast more skills during the battle.
🔺Elemental Affinity System
The game uses a triangle-based elemental system plus light/dark duality: Attacking enemies with the right elemental counter increases damage and can break their guard faster. Some bosses have multiple elemental phases, requiring team flexibility.
💥 Break System
Each enemy has a Guard Gauge, depleting the gauge will stun them and increases their damage taken. Hence it is important to bring in breaker units to stun them, especially in high-level content or PvP.
🛡️ Combat Roles & Synergy
Each character fulfills a combat role, and building synergy between roles is critical:

| DPS | High single/aoe damage (e.g., Theodore, Libertas) |
| Tank | Draw aggro, reduce damage, and shield allies |
| Support | Heal, buff allies (e.g., Serie) |
| Breaker | Focused on guard-break and crowd control |
| Debuffer | Applies status effects like Burn, Freeze, Silence |
Optimal team comp balances at least one DPS + one support/tank + one breaker/debuffer.
Not only that, some characters can chain into another character’s move via passive triggers or conditional criteria met during the battle. Status effects like Burn, Freeze, and Silence can also stop boss abilities or cause DoT (Damage over Time) to the enemies.
Throughout your journey in Mateh, you’ll meet a variety of characters and advance your Warden’s Kaleido rank. Completing quests along the way is highly recommended, as they provide valuable materials and make exploration smoother. Just remember—greater difficulty means greater rewards! Each Kaleido Rank upgrade comes with specific requirements that must be met before you can level up.
🎮 The Gacha System – Recall
Recall System is the main way for Wardens to obtain new characters and high-tier weapons. This is usually where most players are using their Recall Ticket, premium currency – Glowing Memory comes into play. There are 3 types of banner in the game:
- Beginner Banner
New Wardens can get a guaranteed 4-star or 5-star character within 50 pulls, making it ideal for rerolling. Using an emulator or guest account is recommended to secure a strong start. - Limited Banner
Features new characters and weapons with a 2% spark rate and lasts about 3 weeks. There’s no soft pity, only hard pity at 120 pulls for characters and 200 for weapons. - Standard Banner
After a limited banner ends, featured characters move to the Standard Banner with a larger pool and lower spark chance. It’s always available for players still aiming to collect missed units.
