What is GITEX GLOBAL 2025?
GITEX is a premier networking platform with a strong government presence, featuring hundreds of entities from across the United Arab Emirates. Each year, ministers and public sector officials unveil major digital initiatives, innovations, and projects, while also announcing key public–private tech partnerships. The 2025 edition marks the 40th iteration of GITEX since its inception in 1980. It will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13–17.
This year’s edition is billed as “the biggest and most global tech event ever,” featuring more than 6,500 exhibitors from over 180 countries. Among the key participants are industry giants such as Huawei, Amazon Web Services, and Cloudflare, alongside thousands of other innovators. This year’s event is to bring in over 200,000 tech executives from around the world.
What is Expand North Star?
Running alongside GITEX GLOBAL, Expand North Star serves as a dedicated platform for startups, scaleups, and investors. Recognized as the world’s largest scale-up and investor connector event, it gathers more than 70,000 attendees at Dubai Harbour. Beyond networking opportunities, the event hosts summits and keynote sessions featuring influential thought leaders who share insights into the future of technology and investment. Notable speakers include representatives from Forbes, Reddit, Wired, Vodacom, and over 400 others.
