As we approach the end of the year, SEAGM is embarking on a journey to promote health and well-being among its staff with the SEAGM Feel Good In 3 Weeks initiative. This month-long initiative involves team bonding activities and wellness challenges that aim to enhance the physical and mental well-being of our dedicated team in HQ and KL offices.

To kick start the activities, staff members have been grouped into five teams by our dedicated committees, each led by an appointed team leader. This not only fosters a sense of camaraderie but also provides an opportunity for team members to collaborate and support each other throughout the wellness month.

Week 1: “Get Active Blitz” Week:

The first week is all about getting active and energized. Teams are encouraged to participate in daily exercise sessions organized by the committees at 8:00 am and 8:45 am, accommodating different working hours. For employees who are unable to attend these sessions, they can utilize the SEAGM fitness allowance to engage in physical activities such as gym workouts or sports.

Week 2: “Nourish-It-Yourself” Week

Following the active start, the second week we focused on wellness through nutrition. Teams are engaged in a variety of creative and do-it-yourself (DIY) healthy meals. This week encourages our employees to explore and share their culinary talents while fostering a culture of mindful eating and nutrition awareness.

Week 3: “FitFam United” Week

Get ready for an exciting Week 3 challenge as we shift our focus to promoting togetherness and enhancing overall well-being! In this upcoming week, each team is tasked with organizing one healthy activity, fostering teamwork and emphasizing the importance of collective well-being. Stay tuned for the upcoming article, where we’ll delve into the updates of our Week 3 challenge as well as SEAGM Q4 Team Bonding!

In addition to the weekly wellness challenges, what makes SEAGM Feel Good In 3 Weeks exciting is that teams have the chance to win cash prizes based on their performance in these challenges. Let’s get to know about Puthinan Bubpawas (พุฒินันท์ ) our Senior Customer Service Officer from Thailand who has been with SEAGM for 9 years with excellent contributions.

9 years of service in the same organization is not a simple accomplishment. It required dedication and sincerity to stay committed. Puthinan initially found about SEAGM in a website where he used to look for job opportunities previously. He submitted the job application on the website, and he is here with us today, celebrating his 9th year of a wonderful working and learning journey. He mentioned that his inspiration is his manager. Since he works in SEAGM, his manager has taught him a lot about how to work as a customer service officer, how to service customers with patience and much more. He was always told to serve customers with good intentions.

Being asked about a memorable experience where he went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, he feels some of the games are so hard to find top up ways but he and his team tried to play that game and figure out the way to top up, that was his early stage achievement in solving customers’ issues. Besides, Puthinan thinks that providing accurate information and politeness and friendly tone is the key to maintaining a positive attitude when dealing with challenging customer situations, especially during busy or high-stress periods.

Apart from that, Puthinan mentioned that there was a small gesture on his part that had a surprisingly significant impact on a customer’s experience where some of the customers are clueless about top up and online goods purchase. Puthinan thinks this is his responsibility to address customers’ doubts even though he is not a gamer. To solve this issue, Puthinan takes extra effort to download the game, test and try many times until he can finally provide the customer with correct information. The customer is very happy and has been a regular buyer of SEAGM’s products from then until now. Through this, Puthinan learnt that a loyal customer is gained with excellent customer service. This taught him to always treat customers with the best service. While reflecting on Puthinan’s 9 years of service, it sounds like a long journey, but for him, he’s so excited to learn new things, new experiences from this job. 

Last but not least, Puthinan has a piece of advice from his 9 years journey of being a customer service officer to the juniors who are starting their career in customer service field. ‘’Approach your work with the genuine intention of delivering humble and sincere service, and everything will flow smoothly behind.’’

Q1:Can you share the story of how you joined SEAGM and what motivated you to join the company?

A: 当时刚好打算从重庆回成都工作，刚好seagm在招聘设计师。

T (English):At the time when I was planning to transition from Chongqing to Chengdu for  work, SEAGM happened to be recruiting designers.

Ｑ2：Can you highlight some key projects or achievements that you are particularly proud of during your tenure?

Ａ：在ＳＥＡＧＭ期间改版了seagm的logo，设计了吉祥物，参与每一次项目改版，其次目前seagm能看到的所有产品图，有90%都是我做的。

T (English): During my tenure at SEAGM, I redesigned the SEAGM logo, created a mascot, and participated in every project redesign. Currently, about 90% of the product images visible on SEAGM are my creations.

Ｑ3：In what ways has SEAGM supported your professional development and growth?

Ａ：如果说哪些方面的支持，我想最重要来源于领导对我工作的肯定，以及鼓励我们不断学习提升自己。

T (English): SEAGM has supported my professional growth by acknowledging my work and encouraging continuous learning and self-improvement.

Ｑ4：How would you describe the team dynamics within the design department at SEAGM?

Ａ: ＳＥＡＧＭ成都设计团队是一个保持开放合作的状态，我们会共享最新设计趋势，一起研究有趣的设计项目，汲取对方优点。

T (English)：The SEAGM Chengdu design team maintains an open and collaborative atmosphere. We share the latest design trends, collaborate on interesting projects, and learn from each other’s strengths.

Ｑ5：Can you share an example of a successful collaboration or project that involved teamwork?

Ａ：比如ＳＥＡＧＭ v5版本，我们在v5的设计花了很多心思，根据用户需求设计简洁美观的页面，新增很多新的用户体验，例如暗黑模式的设计。在设计过程中，我们进行多次讨论调整，用领导的话说就是设计师都是强迫症患者，我们需要不断的解决能涉及的全部问题与细节，不断优化更好的界面。

T (English)：For example, during the design of SEAGM V5, we dedicated a lot of effort to create a clean and visually appealing interface based on user needs. We introduced new user experiences, such as the design of a dark mode. Throughout the design process, we engaged in multiple discussions and adjustments to optimize the interface.

Ｑ6：How would you define the unique aspects of SEAGM’s company culture that have kept you engaged over the years?

Ａ：ＳＥＡＧＭ一直鼓励员工保持学习，在工作后学习这件事变得非常珍贵。而seagm却愿意给予员工学习机会，比如购买相关书籍提升自己，我们设计组定期内部学习培训等。

T (English)：SEAGM encourages employees to keep learning, making post-work learning a precious aspect. The company provides learning opportunities, such as purchasing relevant books for employees and conducting regular internal training sessions for the design team.

Ｑ7：Can you share a professional or personal learning experience that has significantly impacted your career?

Ａ：在此之前学习工作都非常顺利，但是刚到seagm由于对游戏产业不够了解，经常在工作中有挫败感，在后面长期的工作中，坚持不断完善自己，比别人花更多的时间去学习，这个过程我是非常记忆犹新。

T (English)：Before joining SEAGM, my learning and work experiences were smooth. However, my lack of understanding of the gaming industry caused frequent frustrations at the beginning. Over time, I persevered, constantly improving myself, dedicating more time to learning, and this process remains vivid in my memory.

Ｑ8：How do you see the role of a designer in shaping the employer brand and what are your aspirations for the future?

Ａ：对于很多人来说设计就是做图的，但是我不这么认为。一个品牌的发展，设计非常重要。一个成熟的设计师，并不是熟练使用软件做好看的图，美观只是设计师需要做到的基本东西，而我们更多需要探讨在设计中保持好奇心，敏锐洞察力，细致入微的追求，以及重视内容传达和风格定位等。对于未来的期望，我希望用一个词语形容，那就是“理解”。只有理解，设计才会有方向。

T (English)：For many, design is often considered as creating graphics, but I don’t see it that way. In the development of a brand, design is crucial. A mature designer is not just proficient in using software to create visually appealing graphics; aesthetics are merely the basics that designers should achieve. Instead, we need to explore how to maintain curiosity, keen insight, a pursuit of intricacy, and a focus on content communication and style positioning in our designs. As for future expectations, I would like to describe it with one word: “Understanding.” Only through understanding can design have direction.

Ｑ9：Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you wish you knew when you first started?

Ａ：刚开始做设计的时候，做了一件事我现在也觉得很好，就是”我的100天“，每天模仿一个案例，100天后就可以看到明显变化。

T (English)：When I started designing, one beneficial thing I did was a “My 100 Days” challenge. I imitated a design case every day, and after 100 days, I noticed significant improvements.

Ｑ10：Are there any events or milestones that worth mentioning during your tenure in SEAGM.

Ａ：我觉得是自己心态的变化，以及对设计的理解的变化

T (English)：The most significant memories are about how my way of thinking changed and the evolution of my understanding about designing.

SEAGM‘s Quarter 3 Team Bonding event was nothing short of exceptional.  This special occasion was held on 14th September, employees from various departments including our KL branch members came together for a memorable evening filled with camaraderie and recognition. The event kicked off with an Eye Care Sharing by an optometrist from Iris Optometry Sitiawan, underscoring the importance of eye care.

After that, the jersey designs from the team bonding activity which took place before the event were presented and of course, the result was astounding and impressed everyone. SEAGM’s graphic designer worked tirelessly to combine ideas from every department, resulting in a design that truly embodied the spirit of SEAGM. The design was then printed and made official as SEAGM jersey. It was indeed an opportunity for creativity to shine and teamwork to flourish among SEAGM team members.

The event also featured a motivating speech that set the tone for the upcoming corporate initiatives from our respected CEO.  Additionally, the Employee Appreciation Awards were given based on employees’ nominations and voting before the event, showcasing the company’s commitment to recognize outstanding contributions. SEAGM recognizes and celebrates the achievements and contributions of its employees by presenting a variety of prestigious awards. These awards included the “Rookie of the Year, Integrity Award, You Made a Difference Award, Best Team Player Award, and Service Excellence Award”. Well-deserving individuals who truly excelled in their respective roles within the organization received these awards. Last but not least, the evening concluded with a delightful dinner, fostering connections and conversations among colleagues. Our China and Thailand team also have their bonding time in their respective regions who had some bonding activities and delicious meals. These activities strengthened connections and enabled all the SEAGM team members to stay engaged and connected through shared pictures and experiences, despite the physical distance.

To conclude, SEAGM’s Q3 Team Bonding 2023 event not only celebrated achievements but also strengthened the bonds that made the company a tight-knit family. This evening of unity and recognition will undoubtedly be remembered fondly by all who attended. SEAGM genuinely believes that this team bonding event has created meaningful experiences for all participants.
