Kuala Lumpur, (16th September 2021) – The recent SEAGM Online Charity Show Match, also known as #SEAGMGivesBack, in conjunction with the Merdeka Day Celebration proved to be a great success in what was SEAGM’s first-ever online charity show match! The aim to reach RM10,000 in donations surpassed all expectations when a total amount of RM10,543 was raised to help ease the burden of a charity home known as Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal Selangor (Handicapped And Mentally Disabled Children Association Selangor).

Tommy Speaks on the Purpose of the SEAGM Online Charity
Tommy Chieng, CEO and co-founder of SEAGM, is a strong advocate for such social responsibilities and expressed his enthusiasm for the noble cause. He said, “The SEAGMGivesBack initiative has been a pivotal project that we closely hold to our hearts. The National Day occasion this year marked the perfect time for us to give back to the community.”

“We worked with the mentioned local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to let them know that we care and that we are here to help. This is indeed SEAGM’s core values of care and communication. This charity event is one way of achieving just that – to extend our support and care to those in need, especially the disabled community who are not able to help themselves and we will continue to give back to our community with hopes of creating a better future for our nation. Hence, I would like to extend my thanks to the viewers for their support and to all parties that made this event possible”.
Kicking off the event was none other than our special host and popular e-sports figure, Muhammad “Flava” Farouq. Several renowned Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) participated, including the well-known SEAGM Squad KOLs such as MasterRamen, MamaJess, Hailey and SEM9 professional players such as ArrHedge, WildRabbit, Manparang, Bravo, WryDep, Putra and Draxx.
The Peak of the Show
The event began with a commencement speech from Tommy himself. The host later on introduced an impressive line up of the SEAGM Squad members. These Squad members are MamaJess, Hailey, ManParang, Putra, MasterRamen, ArrHedge, WryDep, Draxx, WildRabbit, and Bravo. In short, it was ManParang who receive the crown as the ultimate winner.

Hoping to entice the viewers to show their support, SEAGM included a Lucky Draw Giveaway session as well. In the end, ten lucky winners walked away with SEAGM Credits worth RM 1,000 in total.
#SEAGMGivesBack Reaching Milestones
The SEAGM Online Charity Show Match features two donation milestones. For the first milestone, it was mainly based on total of likes received. As for the secondary milestone, it was based on concurrent viewers. The total online reach, engagement and views were impressive in numbers. To sum up, the stream garnered over 2000 likes, and 543 peak concurrent viewers.

Finally, despite not achieving the desired milestone, Tommy went ahead with the full donation. SEAGM made a surprise announcement stating that they will contribute the full amount of RM 10,543 to their charity of choice. In return, the Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association in Selangor sent back a token of appreciation in the form of a framed gift.
