THE UPCOMING INTER-REGIONAL TOURNAMENT

If you think League of Legends tournaments are big, well, they just got bigger. Riot Games has finally found a way to settle international disputes. Introducing the brand new inter-regional tournament — with a wicked title too — Rift Rivals!
Cleverly hidden amongst these rivalries is the long awaited matchup. Now, the long-standing North American and European region rivalry can be dissolved to prove, once and for all, which is the superior region. And give the casters, analysts and hosts their much-needed bragging rights on air.
NA vs EU are not the only regions butting heads. Old wounds reopen as top teams from Korea, League Masters Series and China find themselves locked in a three way battle. And there are many other leagues fighting for glory! The top teams from every series will have to set their own rivalries aside and work together to wave their banner as skill representatives of their respective regions.
The segregation of these regions into concentrated matchups will bring about new characters and play style onto the Rift. With each region showcasing their strengths, regional habitual play styles will become more clear cut in the upcoming tournament.
