PUBG 50 Player Deathmatch Mode On Hold Due To Server Issues

It’s safe to say that many were excited about the new time-limited event game mode: Desert Knights Mode. If you don’t know what that is, in short, it’s a game mode where you and your squad of 5 go up against 9 other squads to rack up enough points to win the match. The first team to 200 points or the team with the highest points at the end of 15 minutes is crowned the winner.
This mode is similar War Mode from last month. Only this time, instead of 30 players, we have 50 players in the same map. And it takes place in Miramar instead of Erangel.

Server Issues

Of course, War Mode was a little more successful in certain aspects seeing as it ran pretty smoothly after the patch had gone live. However, within 24-hours of Update 12 going live, players began experiencing server connectivity issues. Some players were completely cut off from the online servers. The developers looked into the issue to find the Desert Knights Mode at the root of the problem.

Perhaps having 50 players in a single map constantly dying and respawning was too much for the servers. However, for the time being, it seems like Desert Knights Mode will be disabled for Patch 12. Don’t fret if you didn’t get to play the mode before it went down because it’s coming back. We’re just not sure when.
