Junkenstein’s revenge is back!

October rolls around it is that time of the year again! The tricks and treats have returned to the game in the Seasonal Event: Overwatch Halloween Terror! We first caught wind of this when Overwatch tweeted the following line with a video feature of this year’s spooky matchup:

The nights grow cold

And monsters appear

A great evil gathers

And Halloween draws near…

Last year, it was our favourite duo from Junkertown, Junkrat and Roadhog dressed as Frankenstein and his Monster.

This year, the duo seems to be Van Helsing McCree and Undead Reaper.

This implies that McCree and Reaper will be getting new skins but this is all Overwatch has revealed to us as far as the new Halloween skins go. Regardless, last year’s Halloween skins will be made available for purchase as soon as the event goes live on 10 Oct. This means the beautiful Witch Mercy Skin is going to be available.
New skins are not the only things to look forward to. Of course, we can expect the return of the PvE gamemode: Junkenstein’s Revenge. Last year, Hollywood’s map had been redocorated for the spooky theme. Perhap it is safe to expect another spooky map this year?

Summary: What To Expect

  • New Halloween Terror skins in lootboxes and purchase
  • Halloween Terror 2016 skins made available in lootboxes and purchase (Ghoul Ana, Tombstone Bastion, Demon Hanzo, Dr. Junkenstein Junkrat, Witch Mercy, Possessed Pharah, Pumpkin Reaper, Coldhardt Reinhardt, Junkenstein’s Monster Roadhog, Immortal Soldier: 76, Vampire Symmetra, Skullyatta Zenyatta)
  • Junkenstein’s Revenge: Co-operative player versus environment game mode
  • Event redecorated maps: Hollywood

The event goes live in the game on 10 Oct and will run to 2 Nov. So be sure to mark that on your calendars! Once more information comes in about the event, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Follow our Facebook page so you won’t miss anything! Happy gaming!
