The new Fortnite patch has dropped! Patch v3.5 came a few days ago. However, within 24 hours after the patch went live, players had issues with the games. This meant that both modes, “Save the World” and “Battle Royale” was unavailable to a large number of players. Literally unplayable.
Patch Summary: V3.5
Patch v3.5 was a relatively large patch. There were a few minor hotfixes here and there but the biggest changes come from the addition of the Port-a-Fort item. Can’t speed build a fort? No problem, just throw down the Port-a-Fort and you’re good to go!
Another new feature they’ve added is the Replay System. Don’t know how you lost that victory royale? Well, now you can watch a replay from multiple angles and point-of-views!
Unfortunately, the Guided Missile Launcher has also been removed from the game. When will it return? Who knows?
A new limited time mode has also been added. it’s the new 50 v 50 mode! It’s considered a “Large squad.” Now, you can also see where the final circle will be on the minimap as soon as you drop. So, should you wish to make your way there ahead of time to set up, that would be a good strategy too. Be careful though, many others would probably have the same idea.
But other than these updates, the others are mostly just bug fixes. However, if you want to check out the full details of the patch, check out their official website.
Patch Summary: V3.5.1
Basically, Epic Games messed up. They even said so themselves. This was Epic Games’ damage control after sending the community a message.
It’s been no secret that over the past 24 hours we’ve been experiencing issues with our services that have prevented many of you from playing Battle Royale and Save the World. We’re sorry. We know how frustrating this has been.
And to make up for it, Battle Royale players are being compensated with a Back Bling gift for everyone to pick up from the store. So go grab one for yourself now!
As for Save The World players, they are offering a Troll Slash Llama in the loot tab for free! And next week, they’re granting Battle Royale players a pack of Battle Stars and Seasonal Gold for Save The World players.
Epic Games also plans to have a post-mortem to sort of giving us an idea of what happened and what went wrong with the patch so the community knows whats up. How responsible of them.
