Captain Price and Task Force 141 are back in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2!

One of the most popular video game series of all time, Call of Duty, is back with a direct sequel to the rebooted Modern Warfare series. As it is a reboot of the original Modern Warfare series, the timeline and events might be different.

In the first reboot, we saw Captain Price handing Laswell a list of names for his legendary Task Force 141 team, including our favourite, John “Soap” McTavish.

Reasons To Buy On Release Day

If you’re into the first Modern Warfare reboot, then this is something you would enjoy. The graphics have improved since the last Modern Warfare and the effects look immaculate. Let’s hope the campaign story is as good as the past Modern Warfares.

The new features include an all-new gun handling system, an advanced AI system, a new Gunsmith and a suite of other gameplay and graphical innovations that elevate the franchise to new heights.

Apart from that, COD is back on Steam. The last time there was a COD game on Steam was Black Ops 3 which came out a million years ago. If you’re not a fan of Battlenet, you’ll find some joy that it’s finally back on Steam.

The chances of you already planning to get this game is high if you’re an FPS fan. If you need some reassurance on whether you should or should not pull the trigger, if you have the means, do it!

Reasons To Wait For Sale

Well, one of the reasons you should wait for a sale to get this is if you’re not an FPS fan. No point in playing a game that you don’t enjoy.

If you’re just in it for the campaign, we’d probably recommend you wait until the price gets cheaper. If you can wait, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are around 25th November and might be on sale. So, if you can wait for everything to come out at a cheaper price, then it’s recommended for you wait. Otherwise, go all in.

Overall, I think the Modern Warfare series is considered to be Call of Duty’s must-play game, but whether or not you should pay full price for it, you should wait for it when the game comes out and see what reviews have to say about it.

FPS Games To Play While Waiting For Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

While waiting, you can check out the first Modern Warfare reboot game on Battlenet. If you enjoy missions like that, most likely you will enjoy the 2nd instalment. Apart from that, you can check out Halo Infinite.

You can also check out Battle Royale shooter games like Apex Legends or Overwatch 2 if you’re into Multiplayer shooters.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 story campaign comes out on 20 October while the Multiplayer mode will drop on 28 October on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Warzone 2.0, meanwhile, will be released on 16 November 2022
