The VALORANT Asia Pacific (APAC) Last Chance Qualifier was officially announced by Riot Games. Throughout 2021, teams from across the world battled for VCT (VALORANT Champions Tour) Points that would count towards qualification for the event.
VALORANT Stage 3 Masters Berlin will be the last opportunity for teams to earn enough VCT Points to join the world championships, which will take place at the end of 2021. After VALORANT Stage 3 Masters Berlin, teams that have yet to qualify for Champions will have to fight through the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ) event to earn the final invitations to the year-end final!
Overview of the APAC Last Chance Qualifiers event.
The APAC Last Chance Qualifiers will see ten teams competing for a single slot at Champions. These ten teams will come from Southeast Asia, South Asia, China, Korea, and Japan. They will fight through a double-elimination bracket to decide who will be the final representative from the region at Champions.
A specific amount of team slots at the LCQ will be allotted to each of the five sub-regions. These slots will be awarded to teams who hold the most VCT points in the region and have not already qualified for the event. However, this will be different in sub-regions that did not award VCT points. Team slots will go to the top-performing teams from the largest events to date instead.
