PlayStation Plus October 2018 Free Games

As we all know, the cost of a PlayStation Plus membership is to cover the cost of server maintenance, however, sometimes the freebies are just straight up… disappointing. Here are your lists of free PlayStation Plus October 2018 games, by region.

Free games for PlayStation Plus NA and EU

Available October 2, 2018.

  • Friday the 13th: The Game (PlayStation 4)
  • Laser League (PlayStation 4)
  • Knowledge is Power (PS Plus bonus – PlayLink)
  • Master Reboot (PlayStation 3)
  • The Bridge (PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PS Vita)
  • Rocketbirds 2: Evolution (PS Vita, PlayStation 4)
  • 2064: Read Only Memories (PS Vita, PlayStation4)

Just a couple months ago, we got Dead by Daylight, which undeniably shares a similar concept to Friday the 13th. Not to mention, didn’t we already get Knowledge is Power? Laser League does have my attention, though, as it’s by the same developers as the OlliOlli series on PS Vita.

Free games for PlayStation Plus Asia

Available October 4 to November 7, 2018.

  • Portal Knights (PlayStation 4)
  • Thumper (PlayStation 4, PS VR)
  • Rocketbirds 2: Evolution (PlayStation 4, PS Vita)

The common game for most regions seems like it is Rocketbirds 2: Evolution. Despite its campy and cartoon-ish look, its a game with Mostly Positive reviews on game client Steam and 67% on Metacritic. The consensus reads that it’s a decent game with lovable characters that are introduced from the first game. It is not without its technical flaws however, but that can bring more hilarious couch co-op moments should you play it with friends. All in all, it’s a sequel that has the potential to be a gem, should you not sleep on it.
Portal Knights is an independent survival action role-playing video game developed by Keen Games, released in February 2016. It’s a game where you have a fully customizable character, ranging from the gender to the class, and let’s you explore the open-world island of Squire’s Knoll. Though it’s mediocre in terms of reviews, it’s a game that two can play couch-co op, and up to four friends can play online. The primary objective of the game is loot, meaning there should be a level of replayability in it. To put it simply, it’s a western Dragon Quest: Builders meets popular MMORPG Dragon Nest. It’s a game that is already cheap on Steam, but has chopped reviews due to it’s unreliable performance even on decent PC rigs.

Additional Notes: PlayStation Plus October 2018 offers Free Multiplayer Weekend from  October 5 to October 7, 2018 for PlayStation 4.
