Where on earth is the Pink Rathian?

The PC rendition of Monster Hunter: World has been out for a few days now. If you’ve been progressing steadily, you’re probably at the point where the “Find ??? Rathian tracks”. Stuck on the quest and can’t seem to find these elusive tracks? Here’s where you can find those Pink Rathian tracks.
Unlike any other quests you have done so far, this one is different since it doesn’t really tell you where to look. Monster Hunter: World has never been a hand-holding type of game so it’s not a surprise that most first-timers might struggle a little.

How to find ??? Rathian tracks?

Alright, the first thing you need to know is that these ??? Rathian tracks will appear in any of the areas when you are doing high-rank quest or expeditions. You might think that going to expeditions to look for these might be the best idea since there’s no time limit. But, that’s not really how the game works. Thus you will end up taking longer to fill up the progress bar.
Instead, I would suggest going on a high-rank optional quest. Personally, I would suggest the six-star optional hunt that requires you to hunt a Pukei-Pukei.

As you can see via the screenshot, the name of the quest is “Pukei-Pukei Ambush”. It only requires me to hunt Pukei-Pukei which is fairly easy. If you are having problems with Pukei-Pukei, I suggest bringing Antidotes along. While undergoing this quest, you will find at least four “??? Rathian tracks” across the map. Focus on the task at hand and Pukei itself will lead you to areas where you will discover tracks.
If you stumble upon the tracks along the way while hunting, that is a bonus since completing high-rank optional quests also progresses your research bar for the Pink Rathian.

By doing it this way, you might complete the research within 5-7 times repeating the Pukei-Pukei hunt. Now, you are set to move on with your high-rank hunts to get high-rank armors.
Monster Hunter: World is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and is now available for the PC as well.
